Hartland Homes by Larry Yoder is a family owned and operated business located in the heart of Northeast Ohio's building capitol, Hartville, Ohio.
It will not take long to find that we view our customers as people with emotions. We keep in mind that you will have a vision of what you want, but may have trouble explaining what that may be. Communication is our most important tool that we use. A jackhammer is also very effective, but it is a tool that is best when only used for its purpose. It is our goal to help you with the planning phases and into the final touches of your new home. You will not be passed off from one department to another. You will be working with the actual family members of the company with access to all of us. Imagine, the owner of the company, actually on the site - "Your Site Foreman," - without the fear of getting dirty!
Hartland Homes has been built upon relationships that have spanned decades. Many of our sub-contractors and suppliers have been working alongside us in the construction business for as long as 20 years! We could work 24/7 to have the best building schedule in place and ready to go, but we cannot carry it out without our team of dedicated craftsmen, also known as our sub-contractors.
You will find that Hartland Homes has many features and methods that would be considered extras or additional at most places. See our list of Standard Features. We have taken the time to listen to what most customers desire and include them in our base prices or standards. You will find many components of our homes with names that you have come to trust and have stood the test of time. We will be happy to point out the hidden standards. Things that you may not think of until that first winter heating bill shows up, or that post in the basement is right where you wanted to set your pool table. You will find that others may have a lower "Base Price" and we urge you to take a closer look. That base price will lose some of its value when the extras are added in. We would rather include many of the "extras" in our pricing and then remove some of these features that you may feel exceed your needs or budget, providing that it would not compromise the integrity of our product and reputation.
Our current staff includes Larry Yoder, President and Owner of Hartland Homes and has been involved in the construction business for approximately 30 years. Running the job site progress and scheduling as well as quality control are his main objectives. Expect to typically see him on the job site every working day. He is the contact person for every worker that arrives to perform his or her craft on your home. This assures the finest quality product and service for your hard earned dollar.
Phil Yoder, General Manager, is working in the office most of the time and has 20+ years experience in the construction business. The highlights of his duties include pricing, cost control, home design along with sales and marketing. It is likely that he will be seen at your home site from time to time for design inspections and assistance for Larry. Phil will also be working closely with you and will be available to you throughout the planning and construction phase.
Larry's wife, Betty, is also in the office most of the days working with accounts payable and receivables, customer selections, and customer care.
There are many choices that will be made throughout the building process; however, we feel that the most important decision you will make is who will be building your new home.
